Israel launched a nuclear bomb: they killed Gholamreza Soleimani, the chief of the Basij militia of Iran, in a precision strike in the very center of Tehran. The strike occurred Monday night and IDF dropped the beans on X Tuesday, boasting of accurate information of their spies.
Soleimani had operated the Basij show, a huge volunteer army of IRGC, the Revolutionary Guard in Iran, six years. These men break up demonstrations, hold streets in check. Think 2009 election riots or the January bloody uprising in which thousands of people lost their lives. Basesij offices are everywhere in the cities and are prepared to crush dissent.
IDF statement cut sharp: “Air Force hit him on rock-solid Military Intelligence. No fuzzies drone work–this was boots-on-ground level work. Falls in the firing line because US-Israel smoked Supreme Leader Khamenei on Feb 28, killing key advisors as well.
Israel didn’t stop there. A Defense Minister, Israel Katz added to this by claiming they also destroyed Ali Larijani, the head of national security in Iran and secretary of the Supreme Council. Katz: Kills confirmed by the military overnight. Tehran? No confirm, no deny, as yet— Dead silent. State press had circulated a handwritten message by Larijani praising dead mariners but nobody knows whether it is a ghost note or not.
Photo floating on the internet makes it–headline shouts the Basij assertion, direct off breaking feeds. Iran proxies such as the Hezbollah are silent, yet the Gulf attacks are rampant, pushing oil prices high.
Why Soleimani? Basij headed crackdowns on mass demos, anti-regime wave of January killed thousands, reports said. He is not a bit player- highest hit since Khamenei fallout. Israel is monitoring IRGC networks which feed Hamas, Houthis.
Tehran scrambles. There are no specifics, but revenge schemes are anticipated. History trend: missile attacks, proxy swarms. US supports Israel hushpuppies, looks up.
This increases the intensity in Middle East firestorm. Israel is eroding the chain of command of Iran, Tehran is bleeding brass. Basij rank-and-file? They will marshal on, but lack of leadership is ailment.
World watches: UN mumble investigations, markets wobble. Larijani gone too will mean the collapse of the security core of Iran. Strikes blow when Israel strikes Lebanon, Gulf flares.
Risky move by IDF–no message lost: We reach everywhere, everywhere. Iran rants behind closed doors, planning counter.
