Windows 11 version 26H2 is the subsequent feature update of Windows in the fall that builds on 25H2 with AI enhancements and hardware performance. Compared to the limited next-gen ARM 26H1 early 2026, 26H2 is compatible with every compatible PC and will be provided by Windows Update extensively.
Release Timeline Confirmed
Microsoft follows its year cycle: again, in September-October 2026, it is expected to release 26H2, as it did 25H2 last fall. Testing also ships up now in Canary and Dev Channels and changes Beta by summer. The 26xxx series is initially released to insiders with the stable release 4-6 months afterwards.

The biggest beneficiaries- ray tracing is improving, and AI editing in Paint. Everyday users can notice snappier multitasking, less bloat. Intune is all about zero-touch improvements that are driving businesses.
