In a move to ensure that people are safe and that law is upheld, the Delhi government with the help of the city police has brought armed guards on the Signature Bridge after a series of terrorizing incidents that brought up concerns of the safety of the people and the enforcing of law. The move, according to the officials, is to contain vandalism acts, recklessness, and unlawful acts which have been widely reported on the iconic building since its opening.

The Signature Bridge is one of the most familiar landmarks in Delhi and the bridge is located between Wazirabad and east delhi and is a favorite tourist attraction place, a photography and recreational drive. The sources at the Delhi Police reported that over 70 incidents of illegal acts like dangerous bike tricks, creating nuisance in the society and even causing deaths have taken place on or close to the bridge in 2024 alone.
