The AI Impact Summit 2026 hosted by India is set to begin today in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the summit on February 16, 2026 at 5 pm at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. This is the first such event in the Global South, which will end on February 20. Global tech leaders Sundar Pichai, Sam Altman and leaders from about 20 countries, including France and Brazil are expected to attend the meeting. This will be the fourth AI Summit after summits in U.K., South Korea and France. The summit on day one will focus on Artificial Intelligence for Road Safety, featuring data-driven solutions to enhance road safety in India. This will explore how AI can make an impact in improving road safety.
There will be around 3,000 speakers who will hold talks in about 500 sessions and host more than 300 exhibitions and live demonstrations of AI technology and start-ups, which are “structured across three thematic chakras — People, Planet and Progress”. This summit will attract around 2.5 lakh visitors to the event. The summit will have some restrictions on Monday, it will be open for all from February 17. The registration for the event is free. An all-women hackathon will be seen on Tuesday in New Delhi after the inauguration on Monday. French President Emmanuel Macron will hold bilateral talks in Mumbai on February 17, 2026. Bilateral talks with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will be held on February 20, 2026. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres will also attend the summit.
