An announcement of the Brazilian aerospace industry powerhouse, Embraer defense and security together with Adani Group to establish an Indian based manufacturing plant of advanced fighter jets is likely to revolutionize the aerospace industry in India. Such a partnership would target AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning and Control) variant of the established E-190 platform of the company, the potential lines of production of the MRFA (Multi-Role Fighter Aircraft), and the assessment of the production.
Information of a Strategic Partnership.
Under the Make in India context, the aerospace department of Adani enterprises will set up greenfield plants in Hyderabad and Vadodara which will lead to the creation of over 3,000 direct job opportunities and 75 percent indigenization within the next five years. The E-190 AEW&C which includes localized EL/W-2090 radar, mission suites and DIRCM self-protection have a 10-hour range, 800km range of detection and easy integrated with IACCS network of the IAF.
Embraer has developed knowledge of platform: 1,300+ E-Jets in the globe, none of the hull lost and Brazilian Gripen E model of production. Adani manages to introduce HAL-polished framework (C-295 fuselages) and provide chain skills, turning India into a local MRO centre.

IAF Modernization Priority
